Greater Works
Than These
John 14:11-19
The Spirit of John, doth rest on Him.
“And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist has risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do show forth themselves in him.”

Our Position
It is always the prayer of our parents or grandparents they children will live longer and achieve mightier things than their parents. So also, it is in the supernatural realm. Through the Holy Spirit, the Lord Jesus has given birth to children, spiritual children like himself.
“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:6 KJV.
Same Source
Like the Lord Jesus and John the Baptist, we are from the same source (Same Spirit), family or, spiritual heritage.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13 KJV
You are I are born by GOD. Now, this may sound weird. But it is true. That is why the Lord Jesus said, and we shall do the same very works (Ministry to the world, with love, power, signs, and wonders just He did).
He Transferred the Anointing
I know how challenging it is for us to attempt one-quarter of what the Lord Jesus accomplished when he was here on earth, not talk half or less of what he did, and then speak of “greater works.” Most of us don’t even want to think of it, and therefore not pray or ask for it.
The “Greater Works” was manifested in the life and ministry of the disciples by the Holy Spirit.
“And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.” Acts 4:33 KJV.
“HE Doeth” the Works.
“Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.”
John 14:10 KJV
The Lord Jesus said himself and His Father would indwell us when we get born again, the same way that His Father indwells Him by the Holy Spirit.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” John 14:23 KJV
Step out, in Faith
Just like Apostle Peter, we have to act on what we know (belief) and have. “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.” Acts 3:6-7 KJV.
HEAVEN and the World is Waiting
“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” Romans 8:19 KJV
People are waiting this year to see God and the Lord Jesus through us. Today, we are God’s arms, legs, and body to fulfill His purpose and will on earth.
“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.”1 John 4:17 KJV
PRAYER POINTS
- Father in the name of Jesus, this is our year of Impact, because you say so, and we want to manifest your glory, show us how; let the consciousness and profound reality of who we are in Christ Jesus awaken in us;
- Father in the name Jesus, help us be fearless, and give us the boldness to step out in faith, knowing it is you who is doing the works and not us;
- Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for transferring this same power to us: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”Luke 10:19 KJV; give us the mind to accept this mandate to do what you did and the “greater works” in the mighty name of Jesus.
- Father in the name of Jesus, in this year of Impact, help us begin with baby steps, little steps of faith; and grant us the grace to do the works of love, healing, teaching, prayer, etc., with our families and loved ones, friends and colleagues;
