Welcome to Encounter His Word for Today

Throughout the years of his ministry of the WORD of God, Bishop Dr. Jonathan E. Owhe has written a variety of books with practical experience that exalts the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and His love for the world. Encounter His Word-for-Today, provides the light you need when you are in the dark, give you direction when faced with tough and hard choices, and equip you if called to ministry and leadership.

Encounter The Word for Today

It is wonderful to seek conferences, revival meetings, and prophets to get the Word of God, or to hear from God. No doubt about it, it is necessary for spiritual development. But not until you have a ONE TO ONE Encounter, a personal relationship with the Word—THE RECEIVING, THE KNOWING: encounter, understanding, reverence and impact of the WORD in your life, and also an understanding that God’s Word is available to you directly in the pages of the Bible, and that you need to seek it and hunger for it, there can be no fulfillment of achieving of your purpose and God’s plan for your life. ‘8 But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Ro.10:8-10;

This is what Jesus meant when He said: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you” Matt.6:33; Key Scriptures: Deut 5:1-22.

Your destiny is intertwined (locked) in and with the Word of God. Moses told the people “Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it; And that ye may prolong your days in the land, which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give unto them and their seed, a land that floweth with milk and honey.” Deut 11:8-9.

Without the Word of God, there is no purpose nor is there the Will of God; and without His Will or purpose, there is no destiny, but a pipe dream and purposeless life.

Destiny and the Word are ONE. “ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.” John 1:1-5.

Your destiny existed and is framed by the Word before you were conceived and born.“Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou cameth forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Jeremiah 1:4-5.

Not until your life becomes one, glued and united with God’s Word and His Will, there can be no achieving of destiny. God’s Word of Destiny came to Zacharias to activate his faith so as to release the anointing to set in motion laws to bring into manifestation his destiny (to bring forth a son who will be a forerunner of the Messiah), he doubted the WORD—resisted, rejected, diminished, minimized—The Word. See Luke 1:5-20. “And Zacharias said unto the angel, whereby shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.” Lk.1:18.

Destiny and unbelief is diabolically opposed to one another. James 1:2-8. Most people, churches and ministries destinies are on hold because there are those involved with it, or we trust in their care/hands, but doubt—reject, resist, disrespect, mock, ridicule—silently, the purpose.

Seek a Person of the Word—that believe in the power of the WORD, to entrust your life and destiny.
