Ten Times Better
Anointing
Daniel 1:3-21
Uniqueness
Uniqueness is going to be pivotal in achieving a life of impact. Trail Blazers and pathfinders will be born. Not trying to be like the others, but being distinct and set apart, will take you to the top.
“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore, he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.” Daniel 1:8 KJV.
The Pressure
“And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king’s meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.”
Daniel 1:5 KJV.
The Challenge of Conformity. You can imagine the environment and the influence (impact) it will have on anyone, especially a request from the king and to please. Please, and be like the Jones’s, the pressure to conform is the cause of many disappointments and failure in life and ministry.
The Depth of Conviction
This year, you need to know “whom you have believed.” 2 Tim.1:12. You have to make up your mind not to be driven by “things” or “people” but by the Lord.
“And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? Then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.
Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink. Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king’s meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.”

Were Ten Times Better
First of all, supernatural favor was released. Da. 1:9; that is what happens when you put God first in your agenda. Matt.6:33;
Secondly, the Lord honored the desire of Daniel and his companions. “And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.” Daniel 1:19-20 KJV.
The ARM of Flesh
Trusting the Lord with all of your heart will be Key this year. Proverb 3:5; “Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:5 KJV.
Looking Unto Jesus,
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12:2 KJV
How Do You Tap into the Ten Times Blessings
- No confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:3;
- See God as your Makeover Captain, physician, and all; Ps.121:1-2;
- See Jesus as your source of life. Matt 6:33;
- Have intimacy with God through the Holy Spirit, Word, Prayer, and Holy living. John 15:1-7;
- Acknowledge God in all you Do. Pro.3:5;
PRAYER POINTS
- Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you for your “ten times blessings” this year; We are uniquely qualified to be accepted and make it to the top of the ladder of success; we embrace the challenges presented by our present-day environment, and we tap into your extraordinary grace of wisdom and favor.
- Father in the name of Jesus, we silence every ungodly appetite and cravings of the flesh this year, and we put you first on our life’s plan, drive and pursuit; we pray for a life of fasting that disciplines and subdues the flesh.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, strengthen our faith and relationship with you; help us to see and understand that “in you, we live and move and have our being. Acts 17:28; cause us never to rely upon our skillsets, understanding, expertise, or experience;
- Father in the name of Jesus, help us to connect and walk in the Spirit at all times; allow us to stay focused on your kingdom agenda rather than on materialism which will perish; we destroy any form of pressure that the enemy, through the job, friends and family might subject us, and obtain grace today to overcome it;
JESUS IS LORD
