Thy Later End

Daily Life 30

Thy Later End

Should Greatly Increase
1 Kings 11:1-12

“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.” Job‬ 8:7‬ KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

KING SOLOMON Started Well
“And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David, his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.” 1 Kings‬ 3:3‬ KJV‬

The Lord was his light and salvation and blessed him with the gift of wisdom. “Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.” 1 Kings‬ 3:12‬ KJV‬‬

God’s favor pursued him and overlooked him, as he served the Lord with all of his heart and might.

“And it came to pass when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord. Then spake Solomon, The Lord said that he would dwell in the thick darkness. I have surely built thee a house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in forever.” 1 Kings‬ 8:10-13‬ KJV

Fallen from Glory
As we later read in King Solomon’s life in 2 Kings 11, women who never served or loved the Lord God Almighty impacted his life. They turned his mind and spirit away from the Lord when he became old, and he lost his zeal and love for the Lord.

Who is impacting your life? Or whose life are you affecting? For King Solomon, it was different.

“For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David, his father.”

1 Kings‬ 11:4‬ KJV‬.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ I know you are in shock like myself. How could this happen? Everyone, including heaven, could not believe it.

“And the Lord was angry with Solomon because his heart was turned from the Lord God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice.” 1 Kings‬ 11:9‬ KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Idolatry
Idolatry is anything that takes the first place of God in your life.

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;” Exodus‬ 20:3-5‬ KJV‬

The Children of Israel fell into lusting, “Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
“Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he falls.” 1 Corinthians‬ 10:7-8, 12‬ KJV‬.

This year, IMPACT is an anointing, and one of its manifestations is, YOU SHALL FINISH YOUR RACE GALLANTLY AND IN GRAND STYLE. Your better days are ahead of you. Your testimonies shall not be what has happened, but what is happening and shall happen. Your worst days are behind you.

The PATH of The Just
“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Proverbs‬ 4:18‬ KJV‬
‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
This year God has programmed us to live an impactful life. That your life this year will radiate and emit the might and glory of the Lord.
“So Jotham became mighty because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.” 2 Chronicles‬ 27:6‬ KJV‬‬‬‬‬.‬‬

‬‬‬‬‬‬PRAYER POINTS

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, we close that door right now that will cause us to sin, err, backslide or forsake your Word and your ways; let the fire of the Lord devour anything that will weaken our relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit;
  2. Father in the name of Jesus, help us never to forget you, when blessings, increase begins, and prosperity is everywhere, in our businesses, ministry, and jobs; just like David cautioned, Ps.62:10, we reject and resist any life of idolatry; anything that will want to replace God in our lives, let it never see the light of the day;
  3. Father in the name of Jesus, we embrace the life of ever-increasing love for the Lord and zeal in serving the Lord; we invoke the anointing of righteousness that releases the grace to help tirelessly and unreservedly; today we decree that the altar of the Lord will never be polluted or defiled in any way;
  4. Father in the name of Jesus, we embrace your wisdom that helps us make wise choices as to who our friends and close acquaintances are; we engage the anointing of discipline that tames and subject the flesh to the power of the Holy Spirit. Today we declare that we shall reign and rule with Jesus Christ and serve with victory and favor; today, we shall enjoy a life of revival and intimacy with the Holy Spirit.
